Good morning! I’m just popping in to share a Christmas card using the fantastic July release from Waffle Flower stamps! The release sold out super quickly so I wanted to wait until the items I used were back in stock! And it’s a good thing I waited because Scrapbook.com is celebrating their big Christmas in July event and everything I used today is 20% off! 😉 And make sure you add a free roll of their 1/4″ adhesive tape to your order!
I started by blending my background with distress oxide inks. I used broken china, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch, chipped sapphire, and black soot. After the panel dried I splattered it with water and white gouache to create a snowy sky! I stamped part of the sentiment from Over-sized Peace on the panel and heat-embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I die-cut the Peace from white cardstock twice and sugar crystal glitter cardstock and adhered them together to create a thick chipboard-like sentiment.
Next I stamped the adorable singing mice from Fa-La-La and colored them with copic markers. I die-cut them with the coordinating dies and then colored the white edges with copic markers matching my distress oxide background so they’d blend in better! I adhered the mice with foam mounting tape and then used liquid adhesive for the peace! Finally I finished the card with a few white paint pen accents and nuvo crystal glaze on their pom pom hats!
I’ve linked the main products I used today and then a couple other favorites from the Scrapbook.com Christmas in July sale! You’ll notice that I’ve linked some 2018 and 2019 holiday items as well as new holiday faves! And it’s worth checking out the whole sale…there’s well over 4500 items at least 20% off!! Thanks so much for visiting, have a fantastic day, and happy shopping!!
